Reminder: January Is National Blood Donor Month

Approximately every two seconds someone in America needs blood, but only a small percentage of eligible donors give blood – especially during the winter months. Start the new year off right by considering blood donation. With about an hour’s worth of your time, you can help others in your community and contribute to the local hospitals’ blood supply.

Make an appointment at your local donation center to give blood. (Many blood centers will also take convalescent plasma donations if you have recently recovered from COVID-19.) Blood donation is safe – and needed.
