Annual Software Development Group Meeting Held May 16-17, 2017

As part of an ongoing effort to make improvements to our software products by encouraging the exchange of ideas and experiences among our customers, IT Synergistics recently organized an in-person Software Development Group (SDG) meeting (with virtual access provided). Over a dozen attendees from member community blood centers participated in this two-day on-site workshop hosted at the Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) center in Flowood, MS. While there, these blood bank professionals were provided a tour of the host facility, which included helpful demonstrations.  Group discussions focused on current trends in the industry like 30-minute donation, the anticipation of upcoming software enhancements such as Source Plasma and Pathogen Reduction support, process improvement suggestions, and the prioritization of wish list items for future releases. While having everyone gathered, Tim Bryant, IT Synergistics’ Managing Director, took the opportunity to present the results of the December 2016 Customer Satisfaction Survey and outlined the company’s development strategy for 2017-2018.

The Software Development Group will meet in person again next year, at a time and place to be determined.
